GlucoRx’s very own gearing up for London Marathon

GlucoRx’s very own office manager, Hannah Gee, from Surrey is training to run the London Marathon for Diabetes UK in April 2024.

Diabetes UK is a charity whose values of helping those with diabetes get access to medical devices and information about diabetes align with GlucoRx’s own values of giving those patients access to medical devices, whilst also saving the NHS money. Diabetes UK also offer helplines to those looking for more information about their diabetes, run events to help people connect to others who might be able to offer emotional support, and pioneering diabetes research, led by top researchers and scientists in the diabetic field. Hannah’s decision to run for Diabetes UK is a great reflection on the core values our company hold, showing that charitable efforts start with the individual.

In a year where more than half a million people applied for the 2024 TCS London Marathon, a world record for the event, we at GlucoRx are especially proud that we will have a familiar face to support. As one of the longest standing, and more senior members of the GlucoRx head office, Hannah has really gone above and beyond to raise money for Diabetes UK.

The funding she will raise to support the charity will go a long way to supporting them long-term, both directly supporting people with diabetes day-to-day lives, and looking forward to medical innovation in tech and medicine to help those with diabetes manage their condition day to day.

Our COO Chris Chapman said: “It is not often in life that I am impressed by something, but Hannah Gee committing to the iconic London Marathon, when she has not done anything similar in the past, show dedication, resilience and commitment. Her training is going well and is a testament to the spirit of perseverance, inspiring others to also pursue their goals.”

We couldn’t be prouder of Hannah, and with 5 months to go, and her training going strong, we have no doubt she’ll succeed in her goals, both fundraising and personally.
